Its been a long week!...shopping.... packing....travelling ...an unwell baby....! very exhausting!... Moreover its a full house.....My sister in law is here and is pregnant with her 3rd... due next month!...
well im back to blogging....hopefully without too many long breaks!....
This recipe takes me back to my grandma's place! i wouldnt have come across this recipe if it wasnt for her!....A very filling, healthy and tasty snack!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup aval/ flattened rice1 or 2 green chillies (depending on your preference)
2 tbsps sugar
2 tbsps grated coconut
salt to taste
1 stick curry leaves
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
i tsp oil
a pinch of jeera/ cumin seeds
PROCESS:
- in a large mixing bowl add the aval, chillies, sugar coconut and salt. Using your hands nicely mix the ingredients till they are well incorporated.
- in a small saucepan add oil. when its hot add the mustard seeds ,jeera and curry leaves. switch off the flame when it starts to pop..
- Add it to the aval. mix well.
liked it.. and easy too.. will soon try as I've some aval :)
