First saw these cookies on jeyashris kitchen. she has such a lovely blog! will be trying more recipes from her blog! but for starters I HAD to try out these custard powder cookies!
These cookies are the EASIEST cookies ever!!!!!The perfect and ideal cookies to make with your children. Did I mention TASTIEST???? They tasted simple awesome...melt in the mouth cookies!
I personally loved the fact that we used granulated sugar in this recipe and we did'nt have to beat the sugar and eggs with an electric mixer. So with every bite, you could taste the crunchy sugar granules!!.......
I also added a bit of salt which worked wonders! This recipe uses no butter and no eggs!........So stop drooling and get to the kitchen people!! :)
1/2 cup custard powder( I used vanilla flavoured)
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
a pinch of salt

ReplyDeleteThese taste horrible. I can't believe I wasted 2 cups of flour on this. The texture is super floury and it leaves an almost metallic taste. Not for me.
